Review: Les Miserables

Review

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and SunNeko Lee. I haven't read the the original work but because of this I may pick up the original and give it a read. As this was a good read. Its easy to understand and follow. The art in this is breath taking. The story is well written, keeps you there hanging on the words and photos. The words and art make this story it easy to see these characters and began to see into these characters life's. Understanding the world and story of this book. I got the copy from Net Galley.

Review: Petit Collage: 25 Easy Handmade Projects for Modern Families

Review

Petit Collage: 25 Easy Handmade Projects for Modern Families by Lorena Siminovich was one I knew I wanted when I first seen it. I love doing art projects, I have a little brother who loves doing art projects as well. There are many great ideas in the book, a few I know I'll be doing for sure here soon. The photos in the is amazing. They stand out in a way that make the art look easily to do but look nice too. The layout and design makes the book look clean and organized.
My favorite part, other than all the great ideas, would have to be the bight colors used throughout the book; as well as all the different fonts used.
The steps in the book is easy to find and to follow. Their strait to the point and easy for tell what they mean and how to do them. This book is great for people who have or work with kids. There are many ideas to make an area look and feel kid friendly as well as art that kids will have a blast making.

I received free from Blogging for Books.

The Circus in Me by S.M. Bjarnson

Review
The Circus in Me by S.M. Bjarnson was, well what can I say a gem! A gem shining brightly lighting up the area around it. Many people should be reading this. S.M. Bjarnson's styles would have to of been my favorite part about this story because her ability to string words together to tell a story like this is breath taking. She has the power of making her word come to life inside your head. It's hard to believe that she is a young writer because her ability and writing style seems as if she's been working on it for years and years.
I don't know a lot about Mormon, but I feel that S.M. Bjarnson's story is a well based balance between everything. There isn't too much of one this or too much over another. I find in some stories writer don't balance, but in Bjarnson's story has that quality.
Tracey is a young girl leaning her way through life. In the being she loses someone close to her and having the change to leave, going to a new place. Building a life that she wants, being the person she wants is something that I feel Tracey thinks is import. Tracey is a different lead character, then in most books I read. In more books I read Tracey would be more like a side character. I found it to be like a fresh breath of air to be read a lead character that is so different.
This is only a 172 pages that will feel even shorter, but oh so worth the read. Readers who like a different style of writing, stories you like a quick pace and one that is different than your everyday reading. This is a book for you. I enjoy this quite a lot and will be telling all my reading friends that this is a must read.

Fates by Lanie Bross

I got Fates by Lanie Bross from Netgalley for free in exchange for an honest review quite some time ago. So, here it goes. I wasn't in love with this story. I wanted to be, oh how I wanted to be. As must as I hate to give anything but a five star review. But there was just something missing. The plot was unique and I really liked it, but it kinda read as a drafty like. For me, I love the blurb and the cover; a lot. Also, the idea behind this story it good I thought it was a wonderful idea. I may have even liked it if the blurb and the story its self matched; and the story itself was what I thought it was going to be. There is a chance that I wouldn't have been disappointed with the story because the blurb and the story wasn't the same. I did however like Lanie Bross's writing style. I may give this book a re-read in a year or so just because I now know what to expect or I may give another one of Lanie Bross stories a read. I feel that a rewriting or editing of the book to match the blurb or change the blurb to the book would make a lot of difference. Like I said I enjoy the idea behind this story and maybe even the story if there wasn't that let down or that bit if not that same between the two. Some of the characters, were good. I really hope that if and when I do re-read this I'll enjoy as much as I was hoping to. Or if this story gets rewritten I'll like it as much as I wanted to. I wouldn't just shove this book away. I would give it a try at less because maybe its a book that you'll like, maybe it wasn't a book for me. But I really do like the idea behind this story. So, all in all it was a fine read I was just disappointed. Netgalley provided this book to me for free in exchange for an honest review.
